bdg partner Kitty Blackwood, MCIWD, is a Master Certified Internet Web Developer who began designing websites in 1997, working with internet service provider Labyrinth Solutions out of Morgantown, WV. Kitty has been the Director of Marketing for Blackwood Associates, Inc. (BAI) for 10 years and is directly involved in the design of all websites, proposals and presentations done by the architectural firm. Kitty graduated from West Virginia University and shortly after starting at BAI in 1996, she began studying web technology trends, and determining how they can benefit from an internet presence.
She developed BAI's Web Design Solutions division with the support of her family's architectural firm. In 2005, she and her brother Kenton created Blackwood Design Group, LLC (bdg). She is the designer of record on more than 100 websites ranging from local non-profits to large international corporations. These websites have ranged from real estate, governmental, political, educational, legal and e-commerce retail businesses. Her knowledge of online marketing has strengthened dozens of other companies who rely on her expertise.
For Kitty, the primary purpose of a web developer is to create successful solutions for the client. Clients are paying for services and results. bdg develops sites that follow strict compliance, which load quickly and are optimized for search engine placement.
